Technical Sales Manager

We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager for one of our clients, operating in over 100 countries with over 36,000 employees. The company is specialized in Specialty Chemicals, Animal Nutrition, Specialty Additives, Smart Materials, Health, Care, Cosmetic Solutions, High Performance Polymers, etc.


  • Provide technical suppport & train customers on the Road Marking & Flooring products and its applications
  • Responsible for all aspects of organizing and managing the technical service to increase the awareness of the benefits of durable methacrylate road markings & floorings at potential customers and road authorities and other stakeholders along the value chain
  • Be the main contact technical service to existing and new potential customers for Road Marking/Flooring in Turkey, Levant, Middle East, India
  • Be the main commercial contact for the designated countries&customers
  • Be professional and excellent in market intelligency and analysis
  • Position is responsible for rendering technical support and services to our Road Marking  & Flooring customers in Turkey, Levant, Middle East&India.
  • Be present and participate when needed in laboratory evaluations, organize and apply test decks to authoritiesand customers.
  • Position is responsible for technically supporting the entire region and other appropriate contacts and involves regular visits,expanded account penetration (to include executive management, technical, R&D,marketing and manufacturing functions),
  • Hold presentations on products/technologies and active participation in field trials/demonstration projects
  • Position is responsible for gathering and maintaining competitive intelligence and report trends
  • Competitors and alternative systems, supporting the market plan to promote cold plastic
  • Train customers, contractors, municipalities, national and state authorities, concessionaries, on the use, application and benefits of Cold Plastic. In addition, the person is responsible for training and support of Road Marking personnel in the region and the technical cooperation with co suppliers (e.g. glass bead mfgs.),equipment vendors and universities / institutes
  • Understand customers´ technical and commercial needs and opportunities;
  • Follow-up of daily activities for negotation, service requirements, trouble shooting and complaints in line with relevant strategies and guidelines
  • Preparation of offers and negotiation of supply / annual agreements
  • Forecast customer’s demands, midterm planning and analysis
  • Execute regional price strategy with the designated customers and ensure pricing compliance in coordination with the supervisor(s)
  • Manage account receivables and credit limits with the team
  • Research on customer needs and expectations in the field of products, processes and propose measures to improve customer satisfaction;
  • Generate, evaluate and reportmarket and competitive information to ensure competitive advantage
  • Work closely with other functions, e.g. techn. service, product management, NBD, customer service, supply chain and business services;
  • Identify new business and/or new projects. Load and maintain project pipeline.
  • In charge for external distributors and responsible for target setting and daily management


  • 8 years experience in technical customer service, preferably in the coatings or construction chemicals industry
  • Experience in the civil engineering or related construction field is preferred
  • Intimate knowledge of construction industry and product approval processes
  • Knowledge of coatings raw materials, formulating, manufacturing and application processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including one-on-one interactions, presentations to groups
  • Excellent written and vocal communication skills in English. Arabic would be a plus
  • Ability to visualize, acquire, and manage high-level customer relationships
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic IT knowledge e.g. e-mail, MS office, CRM
  • Self-organized and high degree of self-motivation,
